CEO of Starfish Education Joins Forum on Accessibility and Inclusiveness at the 4th Integrated STEM Leadership Summit in Asia

On June 11th, 2024, SEAMEO STEM-ED (www.seameo-stemed.org) organized the 4th Integrated STEM Leadership Summit in Asia - Unlocking Asia's Potential with AI: Preparing Asia's Workforce and Learners for the Future, at Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel, Bangkok. Dr. Nanthaporn Janchalia Seributra, CEO of Starfish Education, participated in discussing ways to develop and strengthen STEM education in schools in Thailand on the topic of accessibility and inclusiveness.

This summit event aims to be an important platform for exchanging ideas and driving together education by gathering educators, policymakers, industry leaders and technology experts to promote understanding of the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in education, exploring innovative practices. and develop effective strategies for integrating AI into the education system and developing a more efficient workforce.

Dr. Seributra mentioned Starfish Education as an organization that has been working in providing educational opportunities for over 18 years. It is an organization driven by creating impact that focuses on developing children's skills with Makerspace through the STEAM Design Process. The process of using STEM is not only used in certain subjects or certain groups of students, but STEM is also important for everyone. People need to be aware of the importance of using it in schools. In addition, Dr. Seributra also gave an example of a case study in the form of Starfish School, which has applied STEM to its school context with Makerspace activities. This has also been taken forward from network schools and other nearby schools in the community. Makerspace can be further expanded according to the context of any school to meet the learning needs of students as well.

In addition to focusing on STEM, Starfish Education continues to drive educational work to develop Thai education together with various network organizations both domestically and abroad through six main programs that still emphasize impact and creating meaningful education.
