Forum on Closing the Classroom Gap During the COVID-19 Era

Starfish Education, led by CEO Dr. Nanthaporn “Prae” Seributra, joined a forum entitled “Schools Changing Anew – Closing the Classroom Gap During the COVID-19 Era” which was organized by the Equitable Education Fund (EEF) and School Self-Development Network (TSQP) on Saturday, November 6th, 2021.

During this forum Mrs. Mookda Comewinit, the Director of Baan Pla Dao School (Starfish Education’s model school for innovation and self-development in Chiang Mai) joined directors from three other schools: Mr. Chamnan Sangthong of Wat Silamun School in Nakhon Pathom province, Dr. Sunisa Kongsuwan of Wat Don Phutsa School in Ayutthaya province, and Mrs. Chanakan Sangngam of Wat Baan Rai School in Samut Sakhon province. They represented the TSQP network of 90 schools that work together with Starfish Education.

The forum covered several topics, including:

- Delving into the aspects of learning loss, and how to fill in the gaps

- A readiness checklist designed for students and children

- A discussion of new tools and approaches to give to teachers in order to limit system-side learning regression

- Sharing and learning from these 4 self-development schools
